Privacy

Silverfang TC is sold by [Legal name], doing business as Silverfang ("we"). This explains what we collect when you use the app, this website and your account, and what we do with it. The short version: we keep what we need to sell you a license and let your Macs use it, and nothing about your work.

What we never see

Timecodes, lists, EDLs, XMLs, markers and anything else you type, paste or open stay on your Mac in the app, and in your browser on this website: the free tools run there and send nothing to us. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies on this site or in the app.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you buy or sign in. It identifies your account and is where sign-in links and receipts go.
• Purchase details from our payment provider: what you bought, when, the amount, and your country for tax. Card details go to the payment provider, never to us.
• Your Macs' activations: each Mac's name as macOS reports it (like "Edit Bay 3"), an identifier derived from its hardware by a one-way hash that can't be turned back into the hardware ID, when it activated and checked in, and release codes. This is how a license is limited to its Macs.
• Server logs: IP address, browser or app version, and the address requested, kept to run and secure the service. Sign-in links and codes are removed from them.
• Update checks: when the app checks for an update it asks our server which version is current, which sees your IP address and app version like any download.

Cookies and storage

Signing in sets one cookie on account.silverfangtc.com to keep you signed in. It's needed for the account page and isn't used for anything else. The account page may remember, in your browser, a sign-in code from your Mac for 10 minutes so you can finish signing in.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that run parts of the service for us, for that purpose:

• Stripe, which takes payments and handles sales tax;
• Resend, which delivers our email;
• DigitalOcean, which hosts our servers and this website;
• Cloudflare, which stores the app's downloads.

We don't sell or rent personal information, or share it for advertising. We'd disclose it if the law required us to.

Email

We email you about your account and purchases: sign-in links, receipts, and security notices like a Mac signing in. We won't send marketing unless you've asked for it.

How long we keep it

Account, purchase, license and activation records are kept while your account exists, and purchase records for as long as tax law requires after that. Server logs are kept for [30] days.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account, by emailing support@silverfangtc.com from your account's address. Deleting your account ends your licenses. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws like the GDPR or the CCPA; we honor those requests the same way.

Children

Silverfang TC is made for professionals and isn't directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update it here, with a new date, and email you first about anything that matters.
