Shift a list of timecodes
Paste a cue sheet, a log, or cells from a spreadsheet, and move every timecode in it by the same offset. Columns that aren't timecodes stay as they are.
Offsets read like the calculator: +01:00:00:00, -4s, +96f.
What it's for
A music cue sheet timed from 00:00:00:00 that needs to start at 01:00:00:00. A log from a reel that's moving by a few seconds. Subtitles, ADR lists or VFX pulls after a head leader changes. Any list where every timecode moves the same amount.
How it reads your list
Paste straight from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, or text separated by tabs or commas. The shifter finds the columns that hold timecodes and leaves the rest alone, keeps a header row if there is one, and works out drop-frame from a ; in the timecodes. Copy the result and paste it back where it came from; the columns stay in place.
Writing the offset
The offset reads like the timecode calculator: +01:00:00:00 moves everything an hour later, -4s four seconds earlier, and +96f 96 frames later.
When the edit changed, not just the start
A single offset is right when the whole program moved. When a scene was cut or added, the timecodes after it move by a different amount than the ones before. That needs change points or the EDL of the new cut, which the Silverfang TC app does.
